Marfa Real Estate - Part One

8:22 -

General Mercantile Building in Valentine
This unique turn of the century (1907 is imprinted on the facing) building reflects a bygone era of one-stop-shopping for ranchers and rural communities. In the rear of the store is a beautifully lined wooden platform. Your imagination can just run wild in trying to recreate what went in all the shelves and small cubby holes and on the original countertops. Unbelievably, the mostly adobe, approximately 5,720 sq. ft. building is in original condition with wood floors, tin ceiling trim on the exterior, and wood ceilings. It does need cleaning and renovation but has great possibilities as a dance hall, museum, etc. It could be eligible for a grant and historic marker.

Asking $99,000. Extra lots next to the bldg. (50'X190'each) can be included for a total price of $195,000. The additional lots include an old arena and corner adobe structure.
